Training Course “Improving Teaching and Learning” in cooperation between National Academy of Public Administration Vietnam and World University Service in Germany”

On 23rd and 24th April 2018, National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) and World University Service (WUS) Germany co-organized the training course “Improving Teaching and Learning  Prof. Dr. Wolf Rieck, former President of Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, the first President of Vietnamese – German University in Ho Chi Minh City was the course instructor. Participating in the course were 28 NAPA lecturers.

In the opening remark, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luong Thanh Cuong, NAPA Vice President emphasized that the training course set a new stage in training of NAPA lectures which aims to train lecturers on both expertise and teaching skills as well as foreign language and international integration skills in order to actively participate in NAPA’s renovation and international integration.

The training course was conducted in English, without translation. Course participants were equipped with modern pedagogical knowledge and skills, different approaches and styles in teaching and learning, and necessary skills of a good lecturer. Especially, participants also had the opportunity to practice methods facilitating the learning process of students as well as learn the course instructor’s professionalism, effective working,  responsibility and learner-center approach.
