I. Introduction.
NAPA has provided overseas training programme on Public Administration for Bangladesh Senior Staff and study tour and field study with Vietnamese Government Ministries and Agencies for Bangladesh civil servants since August 2015.
II. Overseas training programme on Public Administration for Bangladesh Senior Staff
NAPA has more than three-year experience in training of Bangladesh government officials in collaboration with Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC) and Bangladesh Ministry of Public Administration (MOPA) The training is ten-day long and training participants are various in designation in the civil service.
Every year, NAPA has been promoting cooperation and international networking for quality of training for senior officials from different countries in the region. NAPA organizes training programs on public administration for hundreads members which are senior officials from Bangladesh. The training program is taught in English and highly evaluated by the partner. Until now, NAPA has organized many training courses for more than 500 officials of Bangladesh government.
In 2015, NAPA has succesfully organized 7 training courses for 203 officials of Bangladesh government.
In 2016, NAPA has succesfully organized 6 training courses for 201 officials of Bangladesh government.
In 2017, NAPA has succesfully organized 5 training courses for 151 officials of Bangladesh government.
Until February 2018, NAPA has succesfully organized 2 training courses for more than 50 officials of Bangladesh government.
III. Study tour and field study with Vietnamese Government Ministries and Agencies for Bangladesh civil servants
NAPA also has delivered a week foreign study tour for civil servants in collaboration with the Institute of Governance Studies, BRAC University, Bangladesh since 2014. The foreign study tour is a component of the capacity building programme for civil servants. It aims to provide an opportunity for civil servants to have better understanding how the public sector in other countries operates and what government interventions have taken place there in response to global changes. Course participants also visit government offices at both central and local levels and learn how they work and meet citizens’ needs. In addition, visits to tourism spot and historical places are arranges so that the participants exposure to the local culture.
