Leadership and management training for ministerial department directors : the 4th capacity building program in 2018

On July 25th 2018, National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) organized the 4th capacity building program on leadership and management. Presented in the ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luong Thanh Cuong, NAPA Vice President, NAPA staff and lecturer as well as 100 civil servants working in different ministries and central agencies participating in the training.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luong Thanh Cuong mentioned that the training plays an important role in building capacity in leadership and management at ministerial department level. Skill training will also help public managers enhance their practical work of policy advice. How to mobilize strength of employees and coordinate with other units for optimum accomplishment of the assigned tasks is the requirements for public managers. Trainees are expected to actively discuss, exchange, and share knowledge and experience in management The training has 11 thematic sessions which are divided into 2 parts, of knowledge and skills knowledge training focuses on leadership competency, working styles of directors, public administration reform, socio-economic development in globalization context. The skill training covers human resource development and management, communication and public relations, management tools.
