NAPA works with People’s Committee of Lao Cai Province on training local administrators

On January 23rd 2018, National Academy of Public Administration delegation visited People’s Committee of Lao Cai Province and had a working session on the training of local administrators.

Presented in the working session were from NAPA side: Dr. Dang Xuan Hoan, NAPA President; Dr. Vu Thanh Xuan, NAPA Vice President; NAPA faculties; and from Lao Cai province side: Mr. Dang Xuan Phong, Chairman of Lao Cai People’s Committee; Mr. Dang Xuan Thanh, Vice Chairman of Lao Cai People’s Committee; local officials.

During the reception, NAPA President and Lao Cai People’s Committee agreed on certain issues including co-organizing training courses on leadership and management for different groups of local administrators including provincial department leaders, division managers, chairpeople and deputy chairpeople of commune People’s Committee; training courses on training methods for trainers of Lao Cai training institutions; training of trainers of Lao Cai’s University in the discipline of public administration; assisting in planning recruitment examinations for managerial positions at provincial and district levels; recommending excellent students to work at the province. In addition, NAPA will assist Lao Cai People’s Committee to develop a master plan for the period of 2018 – 2020 to improve the human resource in the public sector of Lao Cai province. The two sides will also cooperate to conduct research projects on administrative reform, organization development and human resource development in the region.
