To provide training, update new information, knowledge, and leadership skills, and improve political awareness, ideology, ethics, lifestyle, and professional capacities for public leaders and managers selected for the Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, the Standing Bureau of Provincial Party Committee has issued a plan to organize a delegation for training and field study in Thailand.
From October 22 to October 26 in Bangkok, Thailand, Dong Thap Province, in collaboration with the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) of Viet Nam and the Graduate School of the National Institute of Development Administration in Thailand, organized a training program focused on enhancing governance capacity and green sustainable agriculture development. The program was attended by public leaders selected for the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
Participants engaged in specialized sessions covering topics such as (1) An Overview of Effective, Modern Local Governance – Thailand’s Experience; (2) Strategic Management and Vision Building for Socio-Economic Development in Thailand; (3) Governance and Green Sustainable Agricultural Production – Thailand’s Experience; (4) Applying Design Thinking in Local Governance and Problem Solving; (5) Vision Building in Agriculture – Case Study of Chainat Province; and (6) The “Sufficiency Economy” Philosophy in Agricultural and Rural Development in Thailand.
The participants also visited and held discussions with the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand. Additionally, they conducted site visits at Bang Krachao Farm, focusing on green sustainable agriculture and technology applications in agricultural and rural development at an organic farm in Samut Prakan Province. In Pathum Thani Province, participants visited the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR) to observe the the governance and development of green agricultural production models, applying the “Sufficiency Economy” philosophy to agriculture and rural development, as well as Thailand’s green sustainable agriculture practices.
After the site visits, participants engaged in a seminar on “Governance and Development of Green, Sustainable Agricultural Production: Thailand’s Experience and Applications for Dong Thap Province.”
At the conclusion of the course, the participants were awarded Certificates of Completion in Local Governance and Green Sustainable Agricultural Development by the Thailand National Institute of Development Administration.
The objectives of the training program were to enhance local governance capacity and promote green sustainable agriculture for public officials under the planning of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. This training aims to raise awareness and develop effective governance skills by learning from Thailand’s experiences and applying these insights to leadership and management practices in Dong Thap Province. The program also supports the development and implementation of socio-economic development strategies in Dong Thap, aligning with the demands of modern, effective national governance.
