Pham Minh Chinh elected Prime Minister of Vietnam

On April 5, 2021, the National Assembly passed a resolution on the election of Mr. Pham Minh Chinh, a Politburo member, Chairperson of the Central Party Organization Commission as Prime Minister.

The new Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh was sworn in after the National Assembly voted to adopt the Resolution on election of the Prime Minister.

On behalf of the National Assembly (N.A), the Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue presented flowers to congratulate the new Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

In the inauguration, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized: “The Government plays a crucial  role in the cause of national construction and development, defense of the independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of the Fatherland, for the goal of rich people, strong country, democracy, equality, and civilization. The Government is the highest state administrative body exercising executive power, the executive body of the National Assembly, abiding by the Constitution and the Law”.

According to the new Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, the Government will continue to uphold the spirit of innovation and the determination, ambition to develop and growth, promote efforts in  the prevention and control of the epidemic COVID-19 which has gained achievements and highly appreciated by the people and the international community.

He affirmed that to boost comprehensive and synchronous innovation in accordance with the  Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Government and the Prime Minister are fully aware of their responsibility in promoting the previous achievements, facilitating innovation, and making drastic changes in the coming time.
