The implementation of the cooperation program between the National Academy of Public Administration and the Chandler Institute of Governance (Singapore)

(napa.vn) – On February 23, 2023, in Hanoi, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien, President of the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) received and worked with the delegation of Chandler Institute of Governance (CIG), Singapore on broadening the cooperation programs of the two sides.

The delegation was led by Mr. Kenneth Sim, Dean of the Chandler Academy of Governance and Deputy Executive Director of CIG.

On the side of the National Academy of Public Administration, there were Dr. Nguyen Dang Que, NAPA Vice President and leaders of the International Cooperation Department (ICD), NAPA Office, Institute of Administrative Studies, Department of Refresher Training Management and ICD staff.

At the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien highly appreciated the collaboration between the NAPA and CIG over the past time. The cooperation program through the organization of training and refresher training courses for cadres and civil servants for local governments and ministries and branches has brought practical and meaningful effects. This cooperation was recognized and appreciated by the Minister of Home Affairs. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien hopes that CIG would continue to work closely with NAPA in training and fostering capacity building for trainers; providing consulting support and building training programs according to the needs of ministries, branches and localities; designing and developing teaching capacity development programs to meet practical requirements with diverse and flexible training methods.

The NAPA President suggested that Chandler Academy of Governance participate in consulting the development of projects and strategies for the development of the National Academy of Public Administration until 2030, with a vision to 2045; cooperate in organizing international seminars; develop curriculum by simulating real-life situations. At the same time, Mr. Kenneth Sim was also informed that one Academy’s delegation, led by leaders of the Ministry of Home Affairs, will have a visit to Singapore to deepen the collaboration between NAPA and CIG.

Mr. Kenneth Sim highly appreciated the effective cooperation between CIG and NAPA over the past few years and would like to thank Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien for sharing the Academy’s strategic vision. He also affirmed the cooperation in the strategic leadership capacity building program and consulting activities for the Academy to develop projects and development strategies until 2030, with a vision to 2045 and many other contents. Mr. Kenneth Sim looks forward to welcoming the Academy’s delegation to work in Singapore in the future.
