About The Programme

Inclusivity and participatory methods are crucial in policymaking as they ensure a diverse range of perspectives are considered, fostering more comprehensive and equitable solutions. By actively engaging diverse stakeholders, these methods enhance the legitimacy and effectiveness of policies, creating a more responsive and inclusive governance process.

Through interactive and hands-on sessions, participants will explore comprehensive frameworks and methodologies to engage a wide range of stakeholders and navigate the complexities of policy development. This programme will delve into innovative ways to engage inclusive policy stakeholders and harness the wisdom of the society, and sense-make within the policy development landscape. Case studies will provide participants with real-world practitioner examples of inclusive policymaking in action and offer valuable insights into successful approaches and challenges faced in diverse policy contexts. Participants will have the opportunity to design and develop their own inclusive policymaking project. Guided by expert facilitators, they will apply the frameworks and strategies learned to create a project tailored to address specific policy challenges.

This immersive learning experience where theory meets practice will provide participants with the opportunity to elevate their skill set, broaden perspectives, and contribute meaningfully to the development of policies that resonate with the lived experiences of those directly affected.

Programme Format

- This will be an on-campus programme that consists of lectures, group activities, and panel discussions with faculty.

- Attendance for all in-person sessions is compulsory.

- Maximum class size of 30 people.

- At the end of this programme, you will be conferred a Certificate of Completion.

Target Audience

This programme is designed for:

- Policy officers or analysts who manage public engagement roles or policy co-creation initiatives.

- Policy consultants, community-based organisations, non-profits and NGO  who are managing public communication roles or citizen engagement initiatives.

- Any individuals and professionals who are interested to learn about meaningful citizen engagement that goes beyond consultation methods.
