Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Hai, Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, National Academy of Public Administration, was honored as an outstanding and advanced exemplar in the field of education and training at the National Conference for Celebrating and Honoring Exemplary Advanced Individuals in 2023

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s Call for Patriotic Emulation (June 11, 1948 - June 11, 2023), on June 11, 2023, in Hanoi, the Central Emulation and Commendation Council held a Conference to celebrate and recognize exemplary advanced individuals nationwide.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Chairman of the Central Emulation and Commendation Council and Politburo member, presided over and delivered a speech at the Conference.

The following Political Bureau Members attended the Conference: Mr. Tran Thanh Man, Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, President of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Mr. Do Van Chien, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front; Ms. Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Vice President of Viet Nam, First Vice President of the Central Emulation and Commendation Council; Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Minister of Home Affairs, Permanent Vice President of the Central Emulation and Commendation Council.

Especially, the Conference was attended by 700 exemplary delegates from across the country, representing outstanding collectives and individuals directly engaged in production and work in various fields and regions, as well as representatives of intellectuals, ethnic groups, religions, exemplary entrepreneurs, and young talents.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Hai, Dean, Faculty of Administrative Sciences, National Academy of Public Administration, was acknowledged as an exemplary advanced figure in the field of education and training. On behalf of the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA), Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien, Secretary of the CPV Committee and NAPA President, Dr. Nguyen Quynh Nga, Faculty of Archival Sciences and Office Management, and Central Youth Union delegates attended the Conference.

Speaking at the Conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stressed that 75 years ago, on June 11, 1948, President Ho Chi Minh issued the Call for patriotic emulation, formally initiating the emulation drive for patriotism throughout the Party, the people, and the army. He pointed out, “Emulation means loving the country, and to love the country, one must engage in emulation. Those who engage in emulation are the ones who love the country the most.”; “With the indomitable spirit and endless force, with patriotism and the resolute will of our people and army, we can win, and we will win.”

According to the Prime Minister, “Uncle Ho’s call is like a summons to the country, which has encouraged, inspired, and motivated the entire Party, people, and army to promote our patriotic tradition and union spirit of solidarity and self-reliance, overcoming all difficulties and hardships, taking many innovative initiatives in labor, production, and combat, and making practical contributions to the cause of national construction and defense.” Since then, patriotic emulation has truly become widespread, from lowland to mountainous areas, borders, and islands, from urban to rural areas, with the active involvement of individuals ranging from the elderly to young children, and has yielded excellent results. This is a significant motivation for the Vietnamese revolution to progress from one victory to another.”

During nearly 40 years of renovation, emulation movements have flourished, diversifying in many disciplines, engaging different social classes, possessing strong appeal, and spreading widely in society. The emulation movement has closely followed the political responsibilities of the entire country, as well as the specific and practical contents of each agency, location, and unit. Many beneficial topics, initiatives, effective solutions, good models, and efficient methods of operation have been widely replicated, resulting in significant advantages to the state and society.

Prominent among these movements are “Good labor, creative labor”; “Emulation to win”; “For the national security”; “Good teaching, good learning”, “Skillful mass mobilization”, “Nationwide joint efforts to build a new countryside”; “Unity of the people to build a cultured life”, “Integration and development of Vietnamese enterprises”, and “Nationwide solidarity for the poor – leaving no one behind”; “Nationwide unity, joint efforts, and solidarity in preventing and overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic”, “Promoting the development of synchronous, modern infrastructure and practicing efficiency and anti-wastefulness”.

These emulation movements have generated tremendous material and spiritual power, as well as mobilized the potential and strengths of the entire nation, contributing to the effective accomplishment of our people’s political responsibilities during each revolutionary phase. As a result, they have contributed to the promotion of socioeconomic development, the strengthening of national defense and security, the prevention of wasteful corruption, the preservation of independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and the active integration of extensive, comprehensive, substantive, and effective international relations, so that “our country has never had such opportunity, potential, position, and international prestige as it does today.”

From within the competitive movements, numerous exemplary and outstanding models have emerged in various fields. Up to now, there have been hundreds of thousands of exemplary models in different fields across the entire country.
