Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trieu Van Cuong, Vice Minister of Ministry of Home Affairs receives Kazakhstan Ambassador to Vietnam | National Academy of Public Administration

On March 9^th 2017, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trieu Van Cuong, Vice Minister of Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA) in charge of National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) received Mr. Beketzhan Zhumakhanov, Kazakhstan Ambassador to Vietnam. Presented at the reception were Mr Medet Makulzhanov, the Counsellor of the Kazakhstan Embassy in Vietnam, Mr Aibek Smadiyarov, The First Secretary of the Kazakhstan Embassy in Vietnam, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Van Hanh, NAPA Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hau, Dean of Department of Undergraduate Training, Ms. Pham Thi Quynh Hoa, General Director of International Cooperation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Khien, Vice Dean of Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Dr. Dang Thanh Le, Director of Institute of Administrative Studies, Mr. Nguyen Huy Hoang, Deputy Director of NAPA General Office.

Ambassador Zhumakhanov appreciated the reception of NAPA and thanked Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trieu Van Cuong as well as NAPA staff and faculty for participating the reception. He also introduced the achievement of Kazakhstan after 25 years of independence as well as the strategy and policy in sio-economic and the cooperation with Vietnam especially policy in transportation development. The example of the cooperation is the railway line between Kazakhstan and Vietnam. Ambassador Zhumakhanov wanted to expand cooperation in human resources development which focuses on officials training and anti-corruption. He also emphasized that Kazakhstan hopes to share and learn Vietnam’s experience in governance, socio-economic development as well as international integration.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trieu Van Cuong appreciated the achievement of Kazakhstan and mentioned some cooperation activities between the two countries since 2016 and agreed with the Ambassador’s recommendation.

During the reception, both sides agreed on promoting cooperation between NAPA and Kazakhstan partners through following activities:

Developing and signing the Memorandum of understanding (MoU) between NAPA Vietnam and National Academy of Public Administration Kazakhstan.
Exchanging with Kazakhstan Ministry of Home Affairs and Vietnam Ministry of Home Affairs.
Visiting Kazakhstan in order to sign MoU and discuss the next steps in implementation of the cooperation.
Organizing roundtable discussion related to the achievements in socio-economic development in Vietnam and Kazakhstan at the end of March 2017.

Ambassador Zhumakhanov stated that he will make efforts to realize NAPA’s cooperation suggestions in order to contribute to the cooperative relationship between the two countries.
