Celebration of the 41st Laos Independence Day at NAPA

On December 2nd, 2016, National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) celebrated Laos Independence Day.

Presented at the meeting were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trieu Van Cuong, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Home Affairs, in charge of NAPA; Dr. Le Nhu Thanh, NAPA Permanent Vice President; Mr. Phengphan Leuangmany, Minister Counselor from Laos Embassy to Vietnam; Representatives from the Party’s Central Committee, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of Home Affairs,  Ministry of Public Security, Laos students, NAPA staff and lecturers.

Giving a speech at the ceremony, Vice Minister Trieu Van Cuong extended best wished to all Laos civil servants and students studying at NAPA on Laos National Day. He highlighted the tremendous achievements that Laos people have reached under the leadership of the Laos People’s Revolutionary Party in making changes for the country; in maintaining national independence and sovereignty and territorial integrity; in enhancing the country’s international position , improving the life of citizen. He also emphasized the special friendship between the Parties, Governments and peoples of the two countries an invaluable asset which has been built, preserved and nurtured many generations. Effective cooperation in various areas for benefits of the two peoples has contributed to the special friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

At NAPA, training cooperation activities between the two sides has been made on the basis of the agreements signed between the two Parties and the two Governments. On behalf of NAPA leaders, Vice Minister praised Laos students’ the spirit of learning and hard working and affirmed that the Academy will create the most favorable conditions for Laos students. He also hoped that the knowledge and skills that Laos students obtained in different training programs at NAPA will support Laos development, thereby further strengthening special friendship between Vietnam and Laos.

At the ceremony, Mr. Phengphan Leuangmany, Minister Counselor, Laos Embassy to Vietnam and a representative of Lao students participating in training programs at NAPA thanked for the caring and support by both Governments as well as NAPA leaders, lecturers and Vietnamese students in creating the best condition for Laos student at NAPA. After the ceremony, participants attended the luncheon and enjoyed dancing Laos traditional Lamvong dance to celebrate the 41st  Independence Day of Laos.
