On May 29th 2017, National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) organized its 58th anniversary. Presented in the ceremony were Dr. Le Nhu Thanh, NAPA Permanent Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luu Kiem Thanh, NAPA Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trong Dieu, Former Vice Minister of Home Affairs ministry, former NAPA President, NAPA staff and faculties.
Dr. Le Nhu Thanh reviewed the history of NAPA development over 58 years. Since the days when NAPA first course was opened at Phu Luu temple, Bac Ninh province, NAPA has developed into a national leading center in public administration training with 4 campuses throughout Vietnam including Hanoi, Central Region, Tay Nguyen, Ho Chi Minh City. Nowadays, NAPA has 2 professors, 26 associate professors, 74 doctors, 374 masters. Many NAPA lecturers were trained at reputed universities in the region and the world. Moreover, NAPA is also a member of many well-known organizations of public administration including IASIA, EROPA…
NAPA Permanent Vice President emphasized that NAPA continues its focus on capacity building which will contribute to the administrative human resources training. On the basis of values developed over 58 years, NAPA staff and lecturers make effort to accomplish their assigned tasks in order to promote the role of a national leading center in public administration training for civil servants, to meet the reform requirements, and to develop an enabling, integrity, action government serving the people.
On behalf of NAPA staff and lecturers, Dr. Nguyen Thi Ha, Deputy Dean of Administrative Technology and Document Faculty expressed her feeling during her time working at NAPA and also suggested ideas to further develop the institution in the future. Nguyen Thi Thanh Trang, student of KH15TT undergraduate training program also expressed her pride to study at NAPA and a promise to study harder.
At the ceremony, Dr. Le Nhu Thanh awarded First Class Labor Medal to Mr. Vu Van Thanh, former NAPA General Office and Third Class Labor Medal to Ms. Nguyen Thi Cham, former Director, Party Office, NAPA.
During the ceremony, NAPA students’ art performances created a pride and happy atmosphere. NAPA lecturers, staff and students show their determination to make NAPA become a beacon for the training of civil servants, research and consultancy on public administration for the state and Party.
