On April 24th 2017, National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) organized the closing ceremony and gave certificate to 34 Bangladesh high ranking officials participating in the public administration training course at NAPA. It is the second training course of 2017 and the 15th training course which NAPA organized based on the cooperation agreement between NAPA and Ministry of Public Administration, Bangladesh (MOPA).
Presented in the ceremony were Dr. Le Nhu Thanh, NAPA Permanent Vice President, representatives from ministries and NAPA departments as well as Bangladesh officials.
On behalf of Bangladesh participants, Mr. M. Khalid Mahmood, Joint Secretary, Director of Disaster Management Department appreciated the result of the training course including course structure and content, practice-oriented lectures at NAPA as well as visits to ministry and local government. The training course provided rich inputs consisting of economic reform and development, administration reform, rural area development, tourism promotion, investment attraction, etc.

Many cross-cutting issues covered in the training course provide opportunity for Bangladesh officials to learn from Vietnam’s experiences as well as develop their capacity, initiate ideas to apply their knowledge and experience to practical work based on the comparison between the two countries. Mr. M. Khalid Mahmood also appreciated expertise and responsibility of NAPA lecturers and Vietnam’s professionals participating in the training course.; He also thanked NAPA leaders, staff and lecturers for providing best condition for Bangladesh delegation during their exposure visit to Vietnam which contributes to the success of the training course.
Dr. Le Nhu Thanh thanked the positive feedback of Mr. Khalid Mahmood on the training quality and content, structure and field trip in Vietnam. The feedback will contribute to the further development of training courses for Bangladesh officials. He also appreciated the serious learning attitude of Bangladesh participants while expressing his belief that Bangladesh officials will apply effectively public administration knowledge and skill gained from the training course to their practical work as well as develop a professional, responsible, dynamic, effective and transparent public administration , better serving the socio-economic development in Bangladesh and contributing to the friendship between Vietnam and Bangladesh.
