Conference on the announcement of the Minister of Home Affairs’ Decision on the appointment of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien as the President of the National Academy of Public Administration

(napa.vn) – On February 1, 2023, at the Hanoi NAPA Headquarter, the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) held a conference on the implementation of the Minister of Home Affairs’ Decision on the appointment of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien as NAPA President.

The conference was held in a hybrid format between the Hanoi NAPA Headquarters and the branch campuses in the Central region, the Central Highlands region and Ho Chi Minh City.

Assoc.Prof.Dr.Trieu Van Cuong – Member of the CPV Designated Representation cum Vice Minister of Home Affairs attended the meeting and handed over the Decision to the new NAPA President.

Attending the conference, on the side of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA), there were Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan – Member of the CPV Designated Representation, Director of the MoHA Department of Personnel and Organization; Mr. Vu Dang Minh – Member of the Standing CPV Committee, Chairman of Trade Union, Chief of Office of the Ministry; Mrs. Nguyen Bich Thuy – Director of the MoHA Department of Planning and Finance; Mr. Pham Hung Thang – Deputy Director of the MoHA Department of Personnel and Organization. On the side of NAPA, there were Vice Presidents Dr. Nguyen Dang Que, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Luong Thanh Cuong, Dr. Lai Duc Vuong, and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Quoc Suu. On behalf of the Board of Directors of Hanoi University of Home Affairs (before January 1, 2023), there were Dr. Le Thanh Huyen – Vice Rector and heads and deputy heads of units of Hanoi and 03 branch campuses.

At the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan announced Decision No. 39/QD-BNV dated 31 January 2023 of the Minister of Home Affairs on the appointment of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien as the President of the National Academy of Public Administration. The Decision takes effect from the date of signing.

On behalf of the Ministry’s leaders, Vice Minister Trieu Van Cuong noted and highly appreciated the qualities, working capacity and experience of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien, especially during his recent tenure as Acting NAPA President. Vice Minister Trieu Van Cuong congratulated Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien on assuming the new responsibility; he also expressed his belief and entrusted Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien, NAPA leaders, NAPA subordinate units and all officials and employees at NAPA soon settle down after the merger of Hanoi University of Home Affairs into NAPA, actively contributing to the overall development of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the cause of training and fostering cadres, civil servants, public employees and providing quality human resources for society.

Speaking at the Conference, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien extended his gratitude to the Prime Minister, the CPV Designated Representation, MoHA leaders, and leaders of MoHA functional units for their attention, guidance, support and trust. He also expressed his determination to unanimously promote the NAPA’s good traditions and develop NAPA to new heights, thereby realizing the goal of building NAPA into a national training center towards regional standards in the coming time./.
