On January 15, 2021, at the Press Center of Ho Chi Minh City (255 Tran Hung Dao, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), the State Management Review held the Launching Ceremony of the Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City.

Attending the launching ceremony, on the part of the guests were Mr. Pham Quang Ban, Deputy Director, Southern Permanent Office, Central Commission for Communication and Education; Mr. Phung Cong Dung, Chairperson, Commission for Overseas Vietnamese in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Tu Luong, Deputy Director, Department of Information and Communication of Ho Chi Minh City, Director of the Press Center in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Nguyen Van Y, Deputy Director of Academy of Cadres in Ho Chi Minh City; representatives of the City Party Committee for Communication and Education, People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; representatives of city departments of Ho Chi Minh city; representatives of provincial departments and agencies of Vinh Long, Binh Duong, An Giang, Binh Phuoc provinces; representatives of universities, organizations, businesses, central and local press agencies in Ho Chi Minh City.
On the side of the National Academy of Public Administration were Dr. Nguyen Dang Que, NAPA Vice President; reporters, editors, staff of the State Management Review and officials of NAPA Branch Campus in Ho Chi Minh City.
In the introduction of the Representative Office of State Management Review in Ho Chi Minh City, Dr. Nguyen Quang Vinh, Editor-in-Chief affirmed that the Representative Office will facilitate information provision and communication concerning activities of NAPA Branch Campus in Chi Minh City, especially cover the practices and achievements of state management in Ho Chi Minh City and in southern provinces, cities in a timely, honest and relatively comprehensive manner. The Representative Office will promote publication of research on administrative sciences and public management practices of public leaders, managers, scholars in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces, cities on the State Management Review publications.

At the launching ceremony of the representative office, the leaders of the National Academy of Public Administration and the State Management Review announced and handed the Decisions on the establishment of the Representative Office, on appointment of the Chief of the Representative Office. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Van, Deputy Head, Board for State Management Review Online is appointed as Chief of Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City.

On behalf of the local press authority, Mr. Tu Luong, Deputy Director, Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City congratulated the Representative Office of State Management Review in Ho Chi Minh City. Launching a representative office is significant in promoting roles of the Review in line with the common press development trend. The representative offices will contribute to enhancement of the status of press agencies in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern region. It will become one of the direct channels for effective, quick interaction between the National Academy of Public Administration and Ho Chi Minh City, southern provinces and cities, especially in the fields of state management. Local authorities of Ho Chi Minh City will create favorable press environment and conditions for the State Management Review which is expected together with other existing press agencies in Ho Chi Minh City to communicate the Party’s guidelines, public policies and laws, activities in all areas in society in Ho Chi Minh City, actively contribute to the building of advanced, modern Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the event, on behalf of NAPA Board of Directors, Dr. Nguyen Dang Que affirmed, launching the representative office of the State Management Review in Ho Chi Minh City is indispensable, allowing to expand the area of operation, better serve the assigned political tasks. He expected the leaders, reporters and editors of the State Management Review to promote their strengths, comply with the defined purposes, principles, functions and tasks to ensure that the Representative Office operates in accordance with the laws and regulations of NAPA and the locality, contribute to information dissemination, communication concerning NAPA’s activities and management practices of Ho Chi Minh City, southern provinces and cities.
