On December 28th 2018, National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) organized a closing ceremony for two training courses on leadership and management for department directors of Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA) and other ministries, central agencies.
Presented at the closing ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trieu Van Cuong, Vice Minister of MOHA; Mr. Doan Cuong, Director of Planning and Finance Department, MOHA; Representatives from Departments of MOHA; Dr. Dang Xuan Hoan, NAPA President; NAPA staff and lecturers; and 50 participants of the two training courses.
Mr. Bui Huy Tung, Chief of NAPA Office, in charge of Department of Refresher Training Management reported on these two training courses. Course 1 started from September 17th 2018 to October 29th 2018, course 2 started from October 01st 2018 to October 31st 2018). The course participants were introduced 6 subjects of general knowledge, regulations on responsibilities, duties, working requirements and standards for department directors.
Besides, they were introduced 5 subjects on required skills for department directors such as policy formulationskills; organizing implementation of the assigned tasks; organizing and chairing the meetings; conflict management; assignment, delegation and coordination in performing public duties. Trainees also took an exposure trip during the course and were required to submit a project proposal at the end of the course.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trieu Van Cuong, Vice Minister of MOHA congratulated to all participants and expressed his appreciation to lecturers and NAPA staff for their enthusiasm and hard working that made the training go smoothly and succeed. He also hoped that the trainees will apply what they have learnt to their practice and develop their career..
