In the opening session, Dr. Le Thanh Huyen introduced the National Academy of Public Administration as a special-class non-business unit, a national center performing the training functions for Vietnamese cadres, civil servants, and public employees with a focus on public administration and state management. She also affirmed NAPA’s strong commitment to the MOTIVE Project.

During the meeting sessions, the research team of the Project consortium in Viet Nam presented the survey results in the first phase, the reports on the employment trend monitoring portal system, and the sustainability of the Project. The European partners of the Project also presented objective assessments of the survey results as well as recommended solutions to improve the quality of the analysis results in the first phase. The second pilot report will be completed and presented at the final conference scheduled to take place in September 2023 in Viet Nam.

Graduates’ employment is one of the important indicators of the training quality of higher education institutions. Results on the employment status of graduates are used to improve the training quality, and Vietnamese higher education institutions can refer to such results to assist the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training (one of the MOTIVE Project partners) in formulating appropriate higher education policies.
