(Quanlynhanuoc.vn) – On July 28, 2022, in Hanoi, Dr. Nguyen Dang Que, Executive Vice President of the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA), Vice Chair of the Eastern Regional Organization for Public Administration (EROPA), had an online meeting with the EROPA Executive Council.
Attending the online meeting were Dr. Alex Brillantes Jr., EROPA Secretary-General; representatives of EROPA member countries and leaders of the NAPA International Cooperation Department.

At the meeting, Dr. Alex Brillantes Jr. updated EROPA’s activities and events since February 2022, which include participating in the Ministerial Roundtable during the 2022 World Government Summit held in Dubai (April 2022); participating in the 21st Session of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Public Administration (UN CEPA) (April 2022). He also updated on the publishing activities of EROPA (Asian Review of Public Administration (ARPA) and EROPA newsletter), preparation for the 2022 EROPA Conference in Nepal on Governance and public administration in COVID-19 pandemic: learning, innovations and reforms in managing global changes, and information about the 2023 EROPA Conference in Hanoi, Viet Nam with the theme “The role of public governance in socio-economic recovery and development”.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Dang Que thanked the Council members for their consent to hold the 2023 EROPA Conference in early October 2023 in Hanoi with the expected theme “The role of public governance in socio-economic recovery and development”. To ensure the success of the Conference, NAPA will report to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Government of Viet Nam and will facilitate the participation of the members in the Conference in Viet Nam.

Dr. Nguyen Dang Que highly appreciated EROPA’s support when 1 NAPA trainer joined the Editorial Board of the Asian Review of Public Administration (ARPA). With the responsibility of a member of the Editorial Board of ARPA, NAPA and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Hai will make active and substantive contributions to the development of the journal. NAPA hoped that EROPA would promote greater engagement from stakeholders. Dr. Nguyen Dang Que expressed his deepest gratitude to EROPA members for supporting NAPA activities and actively contributing to the development of EROPA.
