NAPA Permanent Vice President Dr. Le Nhu Thanh receives French Ambassador to Vietnam

On November 2nd 2016, Dr. Le Nhu Thanh, Permanent Vice President of National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) welcomes Bertrand Lortholary, French Ambassador to Vietnam, Eva Nguyen Binh, Cooperation and Cultural Counsellor along with staff from French Embassy in Vietnam.

At the reception, Dr. Le Nhu Thanh appreciated the visiting of the Ambassador to NAPA and wish that he would fulfill the mission successfully in Vietnam. Emphasizing the role of French Embassy in promoting the cooperation relationship between NAPA and French partners. Dr. Le Nhu Thanh appreciated the result of these cooperation activities especially in the training program for senior executive and NAPA lecturers in cooperation with Directorate General for Administration and the Civil Service, the E-learning program and the training program for local senior executive in collaboration with Centre of Advanced Studies of Ministry of the Interior; and in other cooperation activities with the National School of Public Administration.

The Ambassador Lortholary thanked NAPA for its warm reception and emphasized the role of NAPA as a national leading center in public administration training for senior executive in Vietnam. He also stated that senior executive training programs are the priority in France’s cooperation strategy with Vietnam and appreciated the successful cooperation between NAPA and French partners which provides a foundation to further develop current cooperation as well as establish new cooperation.

The reception also witnessed discussion about potential cooperation areas including French experts teaching in the training programs for senior officials, training programs for senior executives, and demand-based training programs; French experts supporting the development of the training program for NAPA lecturers and rank-based training programs; cooperation in development and implementation of the E-learning program in NAPA; study trips for NAPA’s staff, lecturers and trainees to France; exchange of students. Dr. Thanh invited the Ambassador and the experts of the French Embassy to deliver presentations at the academic and exchange  sessions  at NAPA

At the end of the reception, the Ambassador Lortholary stated that he would try his best to respond to as much NAPA’s proposals as possible in order to tighten the relationship between the two countries.
