On September 13th, NAPA President – Dr. Dang Xuan Hoan had a work meeting with Ms. Laurence Mézin, Chief of Justice – Law – Governance, Administration and Decentralization Cooperation, French Embassy in Vietnam.
The meeting aimed to review the cooperation between the National Academy of Public Administration and French partners with the assistance of the French Embassy in Vietnam and to discuss the prospect for cooperation between the two countries in the near future.
Presented in the meeting was also Ms. Paulline Guillaume, Progamme officer from French Embassy in Vietnam. On the side of NAPA, there was presence of Dr. Hoang Quang Dat, Dean of Faculty of Public Servant Training; Ms. Pham Thi Quynh Hoa, General Director of International Cooperation Department and some representatives from General Office and International Cooperation Department.
At the meeting, NAPA President reviewed the main results of the cooperation between NAPA and French partners. He emphasized the cooperation with the Directorate General for Administration and the Civil Service, Center of High Studies (CHEMI), Ministry of Interior, School of Public Administration (ENA) and Regional Institute of Administration (IRA) of France. NAPA President highlighted the practicality and effectiveness of cooperation which contributes to NAPA’s development, specifically to its performance, renovating the training curricula and materials and enhancing the capacity of NAPA’s lecturers.
Ms. Laurence Mézin highly appreciated the tradition, continuity and consistency as well as the results of the cooperation between NAPA and French partners.
Acknowledging the results of cooperation, NAPA President requested the French Embassy in Vietnam to continue its assistance in developing the cooperation relationship between NAPA and French partners in these following fields: (1) Inviting French experts to deliver lectures in NAPA’s training programs for senior civil service, position-based training programs for public managers; (2) Supporting NAPA in designing the training curricula and materials for training programs for senior civil service, position-based training program; (3) Improving the capacity of NAPA’s lecturers; and (4) Supporting NAPA in development and implementation of e-learning.
Ms. Mézin agreed to the NAPA’s suggestion for cooperation and affirmed her efforts to promote it . At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to further cooperation by developing specific cooperation plans for the coming years.
