On December 12th 2017, National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) received a delegation of National Human Resources Development Institute (NHI), South Korea led by Dr. Oh Dong Ho, NHI President. Presented in the reception were 6 representatives from NHI departments; representative from Korea Embassy to Vietnam, Dr. Dang Xuan Hoan, NAPA President; Dr. Hoang Quang Dat, Dean of Public Servant Training faculty; Mr. Bui Huy Tung, Chief of Office; Ms. Pham Thi Quynh Hoa, Director of International Cooperation Department.
In the reception Dr. Dang Xuan Hoan emphasized the similarity between NAPA and NHI which provides foundation for cooperation between the two institutions. He also affirmed that the cooperation with NHI as well as other Korean partners is one of priorities in international cooperation of NAPA. Dr. Dang Xuan Hoan acknowledged NHI support in organizing training courses for NAPA staff and lecturers in South Korea.

Dr. Oh Dong Ho appreciated the cooperation between NHI and NAPA and stated that sharing many common interests will facilitate the cooperation between NHI and NAPA. Dr. Oh Dong Ho suggested to sign a cooperation agreement between the two institutions as a framework for further cooperation.
At the reception, the two institutions agreed on different areas of cooperation including:
- NHI provides training in South Korea for Vietnamese civil servants and officials from central government and local authority;
- NHI lecturers deliver lectures in training programs for senior civil servants and training programs for lecturers organized at NAPA.
- Conducting joint research related to challenges on management and human resource development, E-governance development in the context of the digital economy and the 4th industrial revolution.
- Organizing international seminars on issues of mutual interest.
NAPA International Cooperation Department is assigned to collaborate with NHI in drafting Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions.
