On March 29th, 2019, at NAPA Campus in Hanoi, Dr. Dang Xuan Hoan, NAPA President chaired a working session with the delegation of Kharkiv National University, Ukraine. The delegation consists of eight members, headed by Prof. Igor Chervanyov. Attending the meeting were Dean of Administrative Sciences and Organization – Personnel Management, Director of the Center for Foreign Languages - Informatics and Information – Library, Director of Department of International Cooperation, representatives of Department of Graduate Training Management,Department of Refresher Training Management, Institute of Administrative Studies.

At the meeting, Dr. Dang Xuan Hoan highlighted NAPA’s roles and contributions in its 60-year history of development to the ongoing administrative reform and country’s renovation. He emphasized NAPA would like to expand its cooperation with international partners in general and Kharkiv National University, Ukraine in particular to innovate and improve the quality of teaching and research, focusing on cooperating in master training programs, civil servant training, academic and student exchange, organizing international conferences and workshops.

Prof. Igor Chervanyov, the head of the delegation stated Kharkiv National University is ready to cooperate with NAPA when the University as a big, multi-disciplinary university, has 800 lecturers capable of teaching in English in international training programs and courses. The 200-year-old Kharkiv National University is one of the most famous and historic universities in Europe, ranked 382 in the world and 175 in Europe, with a strong teaching force of up to 3,500 people, including four Academicians, 652 Doctors of Science.

The two sides agreed to develop a cooperation agreement which provides a framework for implementing cooperation activities. The cooperation agreement is expected to be signed on the occasion of the working visit of NAPA President to Ukraine at the end of June 2019. NAPA President sent an invitation to leaders of Kharkiv National to visit NAPA and attend the 60th Anniversary Ceremony of the Academy expected to be held on June 1st, 2019
