On October 26th 2017, National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) received National School of Administration (ENA), French delegation led by Mr. Pierre Thénard, Director of International Cooperation Department, ENA. Presented in the ceremony were Dr. Dang Xuan Hoan, NAPA President; Ms. Laurence Mézin, Head of Justice – Law – Administration, Administrative Cooperation and Decentralization, France Embassy to Vietnam; NAPA staff and lecturers.
In the reception, Dr. Dang Xuan Hoan appreciated the cooperation result between ENA and NAPA in the recent years. He also mentioned that Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc requests NAPA to focus on development of lecturing activities in order to make NAPA as a center of public administration training at regional and international level. One of the most important mission was to increase cooperation and study training management model of reputation institution in public servant training around the world including ENA.
NAPA President wanted ENA to continue cooperating and support NAPA in many areas including (1) Provide support to NAPA delegation to study ENA organization model; (2) Sending professionals to Vietnam to deliver lectures in Senior expert program, leadership training program and other courses at NAPA; (3) Sending professionals to support NAPA in curriculum development related to title based training program, training material and lecturer training; (4) Sharing ENA experiences on training for high ranking officials; (5) support NAPA staff and lecturers as well as participants in NAPA training program to have study visit in French.
Mr. Pierre Thénard, Director of International Cooperation Department, ENA agreed with the suggestion of NAPA President and he also stated that he will make effort to promote cooperation between ENA and NAPA in the future. During the reception, both sides agreed to continue discussing and developing detailed cooperation plan in the coming years.
