On March 29th 2018, Dr. Dang Xuan Hoan, NAPA President received World University Service Germany delegation (WUS) headed by Dr. Kambiz Ghawami. WUS Chairman. Presented in the reception were
Dr. Bui Cong Tho, Representative of WUS and other representatives of Hessen in Vietnam; from NAPA side: Assoc. Prof. Dr, Luong Thanh Cuong, NAPA Vice President; heads of Department of International Cooperation, Department of Graduate Training Management; Department of Refresher Training Management.
Dr. Dang Xuan Hoan appreciated and emphasized the significance of the visit of WUS delegation, especially in the context that NAPA is promoting cooperation activities with international partners including Germany, given the ongoing administrative reform, national renovation and international integration. Dr. Dang Xuan Hoan believed that having rich expertise and experience in working with Vietnam, Dr. Kambiz Ghawami will make important contributions to promote the cooperation between NAPA and international partners.

During the reception, the two sides agreed on cooperation areas as follows:
- Capacity development for lecturers including NAPA lecturers and other trainers of public servant training institutions nationwide;
- Training public executives and managers at central and local levels;
- Joint undergraduate and graduate training programs in different modes: in-home training with German lecturers; combination of in-home training and overseas courses in Germany; transferring credits gained in overseas course in Germany and NAPA granting degree;
- Collaboration in research such as joint research, training courses and international seminars at NAPA with participation of Germany professionals.

NAPA and WUS agreed to put these contents of cooperation into the MoU, which is expected to be signed in early May 2018. In addition, WUS is committed to offer two scholarships for NAPA’s poor but merit students and co-organize a workshop for NAPA trainers on modern pedagogy at the end of April 2018.
