In accordance with the 2023 Activity Plan of the Trade Union of the National Academy of Public Administration, with the aim of creating a joyful and uplifting atmosphere, improving health, contributing to the successful completion of assigned tasks, and enhancing camaraderie and solidarity among NAPA units in preparation for the celebration of the 41st anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day on November 20, and with the approval of the NAPA Party Committee and Board of Directors, on November 6, 2023, the Trade Union of NAPA organized the opening ceremony of the 2023 NAPA’s Games.
Attending the opening ceremony was Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha, Executive Vice President of the Trade Union of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
From NAPA, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien, Secretary of the Party Committee, NAPA President; Dr. Bui Huy Tung, Member of the Party Committee, Director General of the Department of Refresher Training Management, Chairman of the NAPA Trade Union; members of the Party Committee of NAPA; leaders of NAPA units; members of the Executive Committee of NAPA Trade Union; representatives from the Youth Union, the Veterans’ Association of NAPA, and 17 sports teams under trade unions units of various NAPA departments and faculties participating in the competition, along with a large number of supporters cheering for the sports festival.

In his opening speech for the NAPA’s Games sports festival, Dr. Bui Huy Tung stated that NAPA’s Games is part of a series of activities organized to celebrate the 41st anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day on November 20. The event also acknowledges the contributions of the trade union officials and members from various NAPA departments and faculties, who have been actively involved in building and developing the trade union organization. The sports festival is organized to enhance physical fitness, promote a healthy lifestyle, and develop the sports movement among NAPA staff. Additionally, it aims to strengthen solidarity, exchange, and coordination among units, maintain ethical standards, cultivate work styles, and create a high level of cohesion and unity in fulfilling the political tasks of the institution and successfully completing the mission for the academic year 2023 – 2024.
On this occasion, Dr. Bui Huy Tung expressed gratitude to NAPA Party Committee, the Board of Directors, the concern of the Trade Union of the Ministry of Home Affairs, leaders of units, unions and trade union members who have wholeheartedly supported and participated in the sports festival. He believed that the 2023 NAPA’s Games would be a great success.

On behalf of NAPA Party Committee and Board of Directors, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien delivered his remarks at the opening ceremony, stating that this program, organized by NAPA Trade Union on the occasion of the 41st anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day, is highly meaningful and practical. The sports festival is not only an activity to improve the health of NAPA trade union members, but also an opportunity to enhance morale, and strengthen exchanges, solidarity, and connection among NAPA units, thus improving the efficiency of performing assigned tasks. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien praised and highly appreciated the meticulous preparation of the Trade Union Executive Committee, the NAPA Trade Union, units, faculties, union members, and students who have shown great attention to the activities. He expressed the hope that the sports festival would have exciting, attractive, and lively matches and that the athletes would achieve the highest results.

At the opening ceremony, representatives of athletes and referees recited the oath of honesty, unity, fair play, and compliance with the regulations, and the rules of the event; ensuring fair, impartial, and objective match management in accordance with the regulations of the organizing committee.

NAPA’s Games, the largest sports event for officials and lecturers of the National Academy of Public Administration in 2023, officially kicked off from November 6 to November 13, 2023, at the Cultural, Information, and Sports Center of Tay Ho District, Ha Noi.
There are five sports disciplines (football, table tennis, badminton, tug of war, sack race) with 14 events (men’s football, women’s football, men’s singles table tennis, men’s doubles table tennis, mixed doubles table tennis, men’s doubles badminton, women’s doubles badminton, mixed doubles badminton, tug of war, men’s doubles sack race, women’s doubles sack race, mixed doubles sack race) with the participation of athletes from 17 units from NAPA Headquarters in Ha Noi.
