On October 23rd 2017, National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) organized the course Human Resource Management for civil servants at NAPA Hue campus.
Presented in the ceremony were Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Van, Director of Department of Public Servant Training, Ministry of Home Affairs; Dr. Dang Xuan Hoan, NAPA President; Dr. Hoang Quang Dat, Dean of Faculty of Public Servant Training; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Hai, Dean of Faculty of Organization and Personnel Management; Ms. Pham Thi Quynh Hoa, Director of Department of International Cooperation, international professionals, NAPA staff, lecturers and participants.
The training course was held from October 23rd 2017 to October 27th 2017 with participation of 35 public human resource managers working in various public organizations nationwide. It is the second training course in the series of four training courses with instruction by international professionals. The course aimed to provide HR knowledge, skills, and experience and presented 10 covering issues of the current situation and challenges for human resource management in Vietnam and French; HR strategies; recruitment; training; role HR managers in human resource management; performance management, teamwork and performance assessment; motivate employees. The course lecturers were delivered by Mr. Jean – Francois Verdier, General Inspector on Finance, Ministry Economic and Finance; Professor Christoper Schrader, Indiana University and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Hai.
Dr. Dang Xuan Hoan affirmed that people is crucial for national administration. Quality human resources could compensate the shortage and limitation of other resources in the administration. Therefore, human resource management is to be paid special attention in an administrative agency and the key area of the administrative reform. Dr. Dang Xuan Hoan expected participants to actively participate in the course as well as share their experiences, difficulties and challenges in their human resource management practice. He believed that the gained inputs from the course help participants improve their work performance, especially in renovation of human resource management and efficiency and effectiveness of administrative agencies.
