Opening Ceremony of the Public Administration Training at NAPA for high ranking officials from Bangladesh

On February 13th, 2017, National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) organized the opening ceremony of the public administration training for high ranking officials from Bangladesh. It was the first training course of 2017 and also the 14th training course for high ranking officials of Bangladesh Government held at NAPA.

Dr. Le Nhu Thanh, NAPA Permanent Vice President attended the ceremony. Presented at the ceremony were A.L.M Abdur Rahman, Rector of Bangladesh Public Administration Training Center (BPATC), Mohammad Shahab Ullah, Bangladesh Ambassador to Vietnam, 24 training participants from Bangladesh Government and representatives from Vietnam Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Public Security, NAPA staff and faculty.

Giving a speech at the ceremony, Bangladesh Ambassador  Mohammad Shahab Ullab emphasized that NAPA is the wise choices of Bangladesh Government in the organization of overseas exposure training courses for Bangladesh officials. He also stated that Vietnam is one of the fastest growing country in the world which obtains many achievements in development of scio-economy, eradication of hunger and poverty as well as improvement of living conditions for citizens. He believed that participants could learn Vietnam’s experience in reform and development as well as make it relevant to their context.

Mr. A.L.M Abdur Rahman, Secretary in charge to the government, Rector of Bangladesh Public Administration Training Center appreciated the warm reception from NAPA. Acknowledging NAPA reputation and experience in organizing high quality training courses for high ranking officials, he emphasized that NAPA is always a trustful destination of quality training for Bangladesh Ministry of Public Administration (MOPA) and BPATC in sending Bangladesh high ranking officials for study.

Dr. Le Nhu Thanh, NAPA Permanent Vice President affirmed that it is an honor to NAPA to be trusted by MOPA in providing training courses for Bangladesh high ranking officials. NAPA  provide the best conditions for Bangladesh trainees to study during the training course at Vietnam. It is the opportunity for both countries to learn and share experience which contributes to the public sector reform and high quality human resource development in the public sector. The cooperation activities in training will also tighten the relationship between Vietnam and Bangladesh.

The training course for Bangladesh high ranking officials will be held from February 12th 2017 to February 21st 2017. The training course will consist of indoor sessions and field trips to central agencies and local authorities. Participants will have the opportunity to hear presentations by Vietnamese experienced, enthusiastic lecturers and professionals on different topics including public administration, Vietnam’s administration system, achievements and challenge in the public reform, political regime, the role of Vietnam government in promoting economic development as well as maintaining social justices; recruitment, , assessment and training of public servants; , policy analysis and formulation and implementation of public policy; executive management and international negotiations in order to promote the development and integration of Vietnam; land, people, culture, history of Vietnam. Participants will have the opportunity to visit Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA), Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Provincial People’s Committee of Lao Cai Province. The course is designed based on  Bangladesh officials’ interest and training needs.
