On June 13, 2024, at the Great Hall of NAPA Headquarters in Ha Noi, the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) held the opening ceremony of the training course for public leaders and managers at the ministerial department level – Cohorts 11 and 12 in 2024.
Dr. Lai Duc Vuong, NAPA Vice President, attended the ceremony.
Attendees at the opening ceremony included Dr. Tong Dang Hung, Deputy Director, Department of Refresher Training Management; Mr. Giang Thanh Nghi, Head, Division of Management of Leadership and Management Posts Training; Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam, Deputy Head, Division of Management of Leadership and Management Posts Training; experts from the Department of Refresher Training Management, and course participants.
At the ceremony, Dr. Tong Dang Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Refresher Training Management, announced Decision No. 3751/QĐ-HCQG and 3752/QĐ-HCQG dated June 11, 2024, by NAPA President on the organization of the training course for public leaders and managers at the ministerial department level – Cohorts 11 and 12 in 2024.
In his remarks, Dr. Lai Duc Vuong, NAPA Vice President, emphasized the important role of training public officials, including ministerial department level leaders and managers. He highlighted the NAPA’s mission to train public officials as entrusted by the Party, Government, and Ministry of Home Affairs of Viet Nam. Over the years, NAPA has established its position as a national center performing functions such as capacity building, training in administrative knowledge and skills, leadership training, administrative science research, and providing advice and consultation to MoHA in administrative and state management. Training is significant for standardizing public officials to meet the demands of industrialization, modernization, and international integration. The courses for public leaders and managers at the ministerial department level – Cohorts 11 and 12 of 2024, aim to equip and enhance knowledge in state management and leadership skills for ministerial department level leaders and managers. These courses contribute to building a cadre of ministerial department level leaders and managers who possess ethical qualities, political courage, and the capability to meet the requirements of their advisory, management, and executive functions.
Participants in the training course will study 10 topics over a total of 80 periods, including three knowledge-based topics, five skills-based topics, and two thematic reports. The course includes practical research activities and a test. This helps participants gain a clearer understanding of the roles, functions, and duties of ministerial department level positions and the role of ministerial department level leaders in the state administrative apparatus, thereby enhancing the responsibility and effectiveness of the public service execution of the ministerial department level leaders and managers.
On behalf of the trainees, Mr. Tran Quoc Hung, Deputy Director, State Bank of Viet Nam (Ha Noi Branch), expressed his sincere gratitude to NAPA leaders and lecturers. He committed that all trainees would strictly adhere to the class rules and regulations to achieve the best learning outcomes.
