Public administration training course for Bangladesh government officials

On June 12th, 2019, National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) launched the training course on public administration for Bangladesh government officials. This is the third training course conducted in 2019 in Hanoi and the 36th course for public officials of the Bangladesh Government in Vietnam.

Attending the course opening ceremony were Dr. Vu Thanh Xuan, NAPA Vice President; Mr. Md. Zafar Iqbal, Additional Secretary, Bangladesh Civil Service Academy, Head of the delegation; representatives of the Department of International Cooperation, faculties and  departments, NAPA and 36 middle-level government officials of Bangladesh.

In the opening speech, Dr. Vu Thanh Xuan emphasized that the training course is an opportunity for the two sides to learn and share experience in public sector reform, civil service and civil servant reform, and human resource development, especially when Vietnam and Bangladesh have many similarities in history, culture and development level. Training courses for Bangladesh Government officials at NAPA are good evidence of the friendship between NAPA and Bangladesh training institutions, contributing to cooperation between the two governments of Vietnam and Bangladesh.

In his remark, Mr. Zafar Iqbal, Additional Secretary, Bangladesh Civil Service Academy, the head of Bangladesh delegation stressed that Vietnam is a good selection of the Bangladesh government for training public officials. He took part in a training course delivered by NAPA in Hanoi in 2011.

The training course is held from June 11th  to June 20th , 2019 in Vietnam. Course participants are introduced about Vietnam’s political and administrative systems; policy formulation and implementation; trends; experience in the public administrative reform and civil service reform as well as reform achievements, challenges, and orientations; efforts in building a professional, responsible, dynamic, efficient and transparent public administration, and in enhancing public satisfaction with public services provided. In addition, course participants take field trips to ministries, agencies, and localities to expose to the management practice in Vietnam.
