On December 23, 2020, NAPA Campus in Hue city organized a seminar on designing and delivering job position-based training courses. The seminar was chaired by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hoang Hien, Deputy Director General, NAPA Campus in Hue city.
Attending the seminar was Dr. Ngo Van Tran, former Deputy Permanent Director General, NAPA Campus in Hue city; NAPA lecturers and employees.
Speaking at the seminar, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hoang Hien emphasized that the job position-based training is different from the traditional civil service training. It is the capacity development process for civil servants. The seminar aims to exchange and share experiences to improve the quality of the job position based-training.
Comments in the seminar came to agreement that the training should be flexibly designed to provide trainees working in the various jo-positions with crucial knowledge and skills. There should be changes in the organization and duration of the training courses, application of innovation in training methods.
The traditional one way-delivery should be replaced by active interaction which provides trainees opportunities for group discussions and sharing. The combination of theory and practice should enable trainees to build their competency to respond to increasing changes in performing civil service. A close coordination between NAPA’s related units in designing and appraising the job position-based training courses allows to build a database of lectures and deliver courses to meet the current diverse demand of civil service training.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hien highly appreciated presentations and discussions which provide multi-faceted, in-depth analysis of the training design and delivery for the job position-based training. NAPA Campus in Hue plans for delivery of this type of civil service training in the coming time.
