On October 19th 2018, National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) organized a seminar on the curricula and courseware of the position-based training for public leaders and managers at district level.
Presented in the seminar were Dr. Dang Xuan Hoan, NAPA President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luong Thanh Cuong, NAPA Vice President; NAPA staff and lecturers.
Participants actively contributed their ideas on the development of the training curricula as well as training materials. The seminar has come up with some ideas concerning structure of modules which are skill-based and promote discussion, sharing of experiences between participants by using case studies. The training content focuses functions and mandates of district government regulated by the Law on Organization of local government; on leadership knowledge and skills needed for public leaders and managers at district level, especially for the positions of Chairperson and Deputy Chairpersons of the District People’s Committee to meet requirements of the ongoing public administrative reform.
