On April 1st, 2019, NAPA Branch Campus in Hochiminh City organized the seminar “Urban governance in the context of the fourth industrial revolution”. Dr. Manfred Roeber from Leipzig University, who was an expert for NAPA capacity building projects and other projects in Vietnam funded by Germany during 1990s was the key presenter. Attending the seminar were NAPA Branch Campus Permanent Vice President Dr. Ha Quang Thanh, NAPA Branch Campus Vice President Assoc.Prof.Dr. Huynh Van Thoi, representatives from teaching divisions and departments, NAPA faculties and administrators.
In his presentation, Dr. Roeber mentioned the factors influencing public management in the context of the fourth industrialization revolution, the public management models which could be relevant to Vietnam in the context of the fourth industrialization revolution, and smart city in Germany. The seminar provided valuable inputs for NAPA faculties and administrators which are useful to their teaching, research, and management work.
The discussion session covered many issues, including opportunities and challenges of public management in the context of the fourth industrial revolution, measures to be taken by Vietnam to respond and not to lag behind.
