On the morning of January 22, 2024 (Italian time), within the framework of the Project “Strengthening Internationalization of Vietnamese Emerging Universities” – STRIVE (hereinafter called the Project), the working group of the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luong Thanh Cuong – NAPA Vice Director, attended the kick-off meeting held in Bologna, Italian Republic, hosted by the AlmaLaurea Inter-University Consortium.
In 2023, NAPA was one of the seven organizations and higher education institutions participating in the submission of the STRIVE Project proposal, which was approved by the European Commission and funded through the Erasmus+ Program. The goal is to modernize international cooperation activities in Vietnamese universities and promote cooperation and connection between European and Vietnamese higher education institutions. The STRIVE Project lasts for three years (from 2024) and is expected to end in 2027.
Speaking at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luong Thanh Cuong, NAPA Vice President, emphasized “In the task of building the orientation and development strategy of any higher education institution, international cooperation activities are a factor that positively promotes cross-border, multi-national relationships, strong and effective connections among many national and international partners, helping to enhance the standards of undergraduate and postgraduate training programs. This is one of the important conditions for the strong and sustainable development of NAPA. NAPA believes in cooperating, supporting, and accompanying with the members of the Project to effectively implement the Project’s tasks and achieve the set goals.”
Within the framework of the working program of the NAPA delegation in the Italian Republic from January 20 to January 26, 2024, the Delegation is scheduled to have a working session with the University of Tusica and the University of Bologna (Italian Republic) to develop and expand the international partnership network and actively promote faculty and student exchange programs, realizing important goals in the internationalization strategy of NAPA.
