On February 23, 2024, at NAPA Headquarters in Hanoi, Mr. Bela Hegedus, Deputy Counselor for Cooperation and Culture, French Embassy in Viet Nam, had a working session to discuss the cooperation plans between the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) and French partners through the coordination and support of the French Embassy in Viet Nam.
Working with the delegation from the French Embassy in Viet Nam were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Suu, NAPA Vice President and leaders of NAPA units.
During the working session, Mr. Bela Hegedus expressed his pleasure that the cooperation activities between the French Embassy in Viet Nam and French partners with NAPA in recent years have been very effective, significantly contributing to the cooperation between the French government and Viet Nam, especially in 2023 when many successes have been achieved as committed. In 2024, French partners hope to continue practical and effective cooperation with NAPA. Regarding cooperation content, Mr. Bela Hegedus suggested that NAPA promptly propose training cooperation contents as a basis for the French National Institute of Public Service (INSP) to send their lectures to participate in training in Viet Nam. NAPA should also participate in French-Vietnamese seminars between the Vietnamese Ministry of Home Affairs and French partners and provide a detailed working agenda for the NAPA delegation to France in the future.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Suu sincerely thanks the French Embassy in Viet Nam for their attention and support, which has facilitated NAPA in signing and effectively implementing programs and plans with partners from the French Republic. He hopes the French Embassy will continue supporting NAPA in various activities, such as (1) sending INSP experts to deliver training courses for public leaders of Vietnamese central and local agencies on topics related to enhancing management capacity to meet the requirements of public service innovation, effective and efficient national governance; (2) coordinating with experts to organize international seminars and conferences on public policy, national governance, economic management… aiming towards sustainable goals and digital transformation; (3) collaborating to organize leadership and management training courses according to needs of Vietnamese ministries, sectors, localities, state-owned corporations, enterprises, etc.; (4) connecting and cooperating with INSP and Regional Institutes of Administration (IRAs).
Mr. Bela Hegedus acknowledges the proposals put forward by the NAPA leaders, hoping that the cooperative programs between partners from the French Republic and NAPA will continue to be implemented practically and effectively.
