On July 24, 2023, at NAPA Headquarters in Hanoi, the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) had a working session with the Korea Foundation (KF). On behalf of NAPA, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luong Thanh Cuong, NAPA Vice President, chaired the meeting.

On the side of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA), there were Ms. Luong Thi Hai Anh, Deputy Director, the Department of Youth Affairs and representatives from the Youth Union and the Department of International Cooperation.
On the side of NAPA, there were leaders and representatives of the Office of NAPA, the Department of Graduate Training Management, the Department of Refresher Training Management, the Department of International Cooperation, and the NAPA Youth Union.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luong Thanh Cuong, NAPA Vice President, extended a warm greeting to Mr. Rhee Jong Gook, Vice President In Charge Of International Cooperation at the Korea Foundation and all members of the delegation during their visit to Viet Nam.
During the working session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luong Thanh Cuong introduced the training programs and international cooperation activities of NAPA. Currently, NAPA offers both undergraduate and postgraduate training programs with various specialized fields, focusing on public administration and public policy. Additionally, NAPA organizes short-term training courses for public servants nationwide, with training facilities and campus branches located in the Northern, Southern, Central, and Central Highlands regions of Viet Nam. The annual intake plan aims to admit approximately 3,000 undergraduate students, 800 Master’s students, and 50-80 PhD students.
He also expressed a desire to cooperate with the Korea Foundation (KF) in the near future.

During the meeting, Mr. Rhee Jong Gook, Vice President In Charge Of International Cooperation at Korea Foundation (KF), expressed gratitude to NAPA for receiving the delegation and expressed a desire for information sharing about the collaboration between Viet Nam and South Korea. He also emphasized that Viet Nam is an important partner in various fields, including education, and expressed his wish for young local leaders from South Korea to have exchanges and learn valuable experiences. He hoped that through this meeting, they would gain a deeper understanding of Vietnamese culture and the opportunities that Viet Nam has to offer.

At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue exchanging detailed and specific information regarding the implementation of the collaboration and partnership between NAPA and the Korea Foundation (KF) in the future.
