On May 25, 2020, NAPA Branch Campus in Hue City held the opening ceremony of the training course on religion affairs for public officials.
Attending the event was Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hoang Hien, Deputy Director General, NAPA Branch Campus in Hue city, faculties and 50 course participantscoming from different provinces and cities such as Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Da Nang, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen and Khanh Hoa.
The course took place from May 25, 2020 to May 29, 2020 and covered 8 topics: The Party’s viewsand public policies on beliefs and religions; State management of belief and religion affairs; International relations of the religions in Vietnam; Overview of Catholicism and Vietnamese Catholicism; “The phenomenon ofnew religions” and policies in response to “the phenomenon of new religions” in Vietnam; Inspection, settlement of complaints and denunciations, and reception of citizens regarding religion affairs; Key contents of the Land Law relating to religion; Communicating with dignitaries, the religious, and religious followers. Course participants have to complete the-end-course essay. Those qualified participants will be granted certificates upon completion of the course.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hoang Hien emphasized the purpose and importance of the training on religion affairs for officials in charge of religion affairs. The personnel work plays a critical role and affects the effectiveness of state management of religious activities and communicationwith religious followers in the country. Therefore, it’s a crucial task to improve capacity, knowledge and skills for officialsin charge of religion affairs so that they could effectively handle religious affairs, implement the Party’sguidelines and public policies onreligion. Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hien expected that the course participants would be actively involved in learning activities, exchange and share knowledge and experience, and successfully apply what had been learned into their performance at work.
