Vietnam Ministry of Home Affairs receives medals from Laos President

On September 28th 2017, Vietnam Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA) organized a ceremony to receive medals from Laos President.

Presented in the ceremony were Mr. Khamman Sounvileuth, Laos Minister of Home Affairs, Mr. Viengxay Darasene, Counselor of Lao Embassy to Vietnam; Mr. Le Vinh Tan, Vietnam Minister of Home Affairs; Vietnam Vice Ministers of Home Affairs: Mr. Trieu Van Cuong, Mrs. Tran Thi Ha, Mr. Nguyen Duy Thang, Mr. Nguyen Trong Thua; Mr. Dang Xuan Hoan, President of Vietnam National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA); Mr. Bui Huy Tung, Chief of NAPA Office; Ms. Pham Thi Quynh Hoa, General Director of NAPA International Cooperation Department; and representatives of Ministry of Home Affairs.

Mr. Khamman Sounvileuth congratulated the officials and affiliations of MOHA,  Vietnam who are granted medals by Laos President. It is recognition of the great support by MOHA leaders and staff to Laos people sent to Vietnam for training and working and their merit in strengthening the traditional relationship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

Minister Le Vinh Tan emphasized that the international cooperation between MOHA, Vietnam and the Ministry of Home Affairs, Laos has witnessed significant development. The two ministries have signed memoranda of cooperation, identified areas of effective cooperation based on mutual interest and support. The two ministries also regularly exchanged delegations of senior civil service, civil servants.  Vietnam Ministry of Home Affairs and its affiliated institutions have helped to train Laos officials, specifically training Laos officials from the National Archives of Laos; degree training programs for Laos students and short courses for Laos senior civil service provided by NAPA, short-courses on state administration for Laos  officials at district government level provided by Hanoi University of Home Affairs.

On behalf of Ministry of Home Affairs, Minister Le Vinh Tan expressed gratitude to the State of Laos for recognizing the contributions of Vietnam Ministry of Home Affairs to development of special friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries of Vietnam and Laos. Moreover, he also thanked Mr. Khamman Sounvileuth and representatives from Laos Ministry of Home Affairs for their efforts and innovations in developing fruitful cooperation between the two countries which contributed the building of a strong and transparent public administration and country development.

Vietnam Ministry of Home Affairs will continue to promote cooperation between the two ministries and make it more fruitful which will further tighten the relationship between the two countries.
