On April 12, 2023, the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) held the opening ceremony of the training course on leadership and management at the ministerial department level – cohort 5 in 2023.
Attending the opening ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien – Secretary of the CPV Committee, NAPA President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Suu – NAPA Vice President; Dr. Bui Huy Tung – Director of the Department of Refresher Training Management; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hau – Chief of NAPA Office; staff of the Department of Refresher Training Management, and course participants.

In the opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien – Secretary of the CPV Committee, NAPA President emphasized: “Training cadres, civil servants and public employees has always been of special interest to the Party and State. Such training is critical in standardizing the contingent of public servants, improving knowledge of state management, leadership and management skills for the contingent of public leaders and managers at the ministerial department level, meeting the requirements and tasks of advising, managing and administering the performance of public service; and improving the quality, sense of responsibility and initiative of leaders and managers at the ministerial department level in the process of advising, leading, and managing organizations and units.”

At the opening ceremony, Dr. Bui Huy Tung – Director of the Department of Refresher Training Management announced the Decision by the NAPA President on the organization of the training course. The course participants come from various ministries, departments, and branches of the Central Government and some localities throughout the country.
The success of the training course is determined not only by the implementation of NAPA but also by participant attendance and responsibilities throughout the course.

On behalf of the course participants, Mr. Vu Hong Luu – senior official of the Department of National Defense and Security, Office of the National Assembly, expressed his gratitude to the NAPA Board of Directors and NAPA faculty. He also affirmed the participants’ commitment to actively participating in the training course and strictly complying with the course regulations.
