On December 8th, National Academy of Public Administration Branch Campus in Hue City celebrated the 15th Anniversary (December 2nd, 2004 – December 2nd, 2019).
Attending the ceremony were, on the side of Thua Thien Hue province: Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Vice Chairperson of the Provincial People’s Committee; Ms. Nguyen Thi Ai Van, Vice Chairperson of Provincial People’s Council; former provincial leaders; representatives of local departments, agencies and of neighboring provinces.
On the side of the National Academy of Public Administration were Dr. Dang Xuan Hoan, NAPA President; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Luong Thanh Cuong, NAPA Vice President, in charge of NAPA Branch Campus in Hue; Prof. Nguyen Dang Thanh, former Vice Minister of Home Affairs, former NAPA President; Dr. Le Nhu Thanh, former NAPA Vice President; Dr. Pham Quang Huy, former NAPA President; Dr. Ngo Van Tran, Permanent Deputy General Director, NAPA Branch Campus in Hue; heads of NAPA faculties, departments, units; staff and students in NAPA Branch Campus in Hue City.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Dang Xuan Hoan, NAPA President congratulated the achievements gained by NAPA Branch Campus in Hue over 15 years of establishment and development. He affirmed that the 15th anniversary celebration not only praised the past successful journey but also provided an opportunity to review the development road and think about the future with new responsibilities, expectations, and development contexts. He requested NAPA Branch Campus in Hue to make more efforts, constantly innovate, and overcome the difficulties and challenges, focusing on the following key tasks:
Firstly, promoting the solidarity and sharing the defined vision and aspiration for development of NAPA Branch Campus in Hue to become a training center for cadres, civil servants and public employees; training high-quality human resources in public administration and public policy in the Central region.
Secondly, developing a mechanism for workforce enhancement of NAPA Branch Campus in Hue to ensure that staff is capable of undertaking research, training, and international cooperation tasks; a strong contingent of lecturers is capable of carrying out teaching tasks and innovating training methods so that graduates acquire qualifications and necessary professional skills to meet new requirements.
Third, continuing renovation; strengthening the organizational structure; meeting the training needs of cadres, civil servants and public employees in difficult areas of the Central region.
Fourthly, enhancing the research capacity, producing quality courseware for the training, and at the same time proposing recommendations to specific issues in the Central region and the whole country. Training should go hand in hand with research.
Fifth, continuing modernization of the current physical facilities and administration. Towards the realization of E-NAPA, the Branch Campus in Hue should be E-Branch Campus with application of information and communication technology in training and research.
NAPA Branch Campus in Hue is always an integral part of NAPA; therefore, it should be given the best conditions to continue to develop and contribute to NAPA’s overall development.
Under the authorization of the Prime Minister, Dr. Dang Xuan Hoan presented the Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister to NAPA Branch Campus in Hue.
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Luong Thanh Cuong presented Certificates of Merit by NAPA President to the departments and individuals of NAPA Branch Campus in Hue.
To celebrate the anniversary, NAPA Branch Campus in Hue organized an exhibition and introduced documents on NAPA, NAPA Branch Campus in Hue, including specialized scientific journals, books and other documentary materials. The exhibition helped the NAPA staff understand better the tradition and development of NAPA in general and NAPA Branch Campus in Hue in particular; at the same time, creating opportunities for NAPA staff to access to many valuable scientific works, monographs, documentary materials for research, teaching and learning.
Earlier, NAPA Branch Campus in Hue also organized a music performance with involvement of NAPA staff and students which increased the spirit of pride of the tradition and development and created a joyful, happy atmosphere.
